Door County, WI (May-June)
Smallmouth Bass season opens in May. It offers some of the best fishing of the year. Cast N Catch targets the islands and bays of the peninsula. Locations include Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor, Ephraim, Rowley’s Bay, and Sister Bay.
Washington Island, WI (July-November)
Jimmy has been fishing the Island for years. He has an amazing understanding of the Smallies that inhabit the water near the Island. Trips on the Island begin on July 1st and go until ice forms around November. July-September shallow water Smallmouth Bass fishing provides the best action for trophy Door County Smallies. The crystal clear water paired with cooler water temps keeps the forage and the Smallmouth Bass in the shallows all summer long. When the leaves begin to change colors the Smallies begin to move offshore. The Smallmouth set up on near the adjacent deep water bluffs and ledges. Tactics during the fall include lures and live bait. As a result these trips are some of the best of the entire year! October and November trips are your best chance to land a 6lb plus Smallmouth.
Sturgeon Bay, WI (January-March)
